Two goals from Diego Gamarra and another from Lucas Buono all before half time ensured that Defensores would win Zona A and ensure their passage to the next level of Argentine football. The closest rivals, Dock Sud, would have been unable to catch Defensores anyway but could only manage a 4-4 draw away to Defensores Unidos.
