Gerardo Martino has already stated that Carlos Tevez is competition for Gonzalo Higuaín for the number nine shirt and last night in the Supercoppa Final, both players gave a display of their goal scoring prowess. Carlos Tevez twice put Juventus in front, first in the opening few minutes and again in injury time. However, on both occasions, national team rival, Gonzalo Higuaín struck an equaliser. As the match went to penalties, Tevez saw his effort come back off the post and eventually it came down to Napoli goalkeeper, Rafael to save Simone Padoin’s spotkick.
