San Lorenzo showed signs of improvement as they defeated Godoy Cruz last night thanks to Matías Caruzzo’s headed goal. Caruzzo along with Franco Mussis and Sebastián Blanco were handed debuts but there was a concern for Edgardo Bauza after the influential, Néstor Ortigoza was forced off through injury. This will hopefully not keep the portly Paraguayan out for long, with the Recopa against River just a week away.
