The partnership of Diego Milito and Gustavo Bou appear to continuing where they left off in the Torneo Transición as they pair proved too much for rivals Independiente in the summer friendly in Mar del Plata. Milito tapped in from close range shortly before half time following in Bou’s volleyed cross and just after the break the roles were reversed, leaving Bou to smash Racing further in front. Independiente toiled to find a way back into the game but with Jorge Almirón trying to incorporate his new signings El Rojo were disjointed. As expected with another defeat in preseason imminent the fans began calling for exiled club legend, Daniel Montenegro. Almirón knows that this will not go away until performances and results improve drastically.
