Miguel Ángel Lemme’s under-17 side failed to produce the level of performance that has already seen them defeat Brazil and Paraguay in the final group stage and instead they had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Colombia. Jorge Carrascal deservedly gave Colombia a half time lead after what was a subdued performance from Argentina and although there were improvements after the break, Los Pibes could not do enough to claim a third straight win. Boca Juniors striker, Matías Roskopf turned and smashed in an excellent equaliser but with the usually dangerous Tomás Conechny kept quiet, Los Pibes failed to create many more chances. Unfortunately, captain Conechny was booked when he punched the ball into the net and so he will miss the crucial match with Uruguay on Thursday.
