Tigre and Argentinos Juniors will both be thinking that they could have got a little more from these home matches against sides below them in the table. Gustavo Alfaro’s Tigre have only lost once but they could not do enough to pick up another another three points against a determined Defensa y Justicia. In La Paternal, Argentinos Juniors also enjoyed a fairly dominant performance over winless Nueva Chicago but had to settle for a point. Luis Solignac fired Chicago in front midway through the first half but Lautaro Rinaldi headed in his first of the season to equalise just five minutes later. Argentinos appeared the more likely to win it and were boosted by Abel Masuero’s sending off with twenty minutes remaining but the decisive second goal could not materialise.
