Sunday: Atlético Rafaela end wait for a win and Tigre move up to sixth (VIDEO)

After eleven rounds of football, Atlético Rafaela finally chalked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 win over Defensa y Justicia in the Neuvo Monumental. First half goals from Guillermo Marino and Federico González proved to be enough despite Juan Sánchez Sotelo superbly pulling one back for El Halcon just minutes after half time. La Crema remain down in 26th but they are no longer in the group of winless sides and will be looking to continue to climb the table.

Later in Victoria, Tigre earned a third straight win and moved up to sixth in the table after defeating Nueva Chicago by two goals to nil. A Carlos Luna brace either side of half time gave the home side victory and although they have benefitted from a kind set of fixtures at the start of 2015, Tigre should be pleased by their return. Lanús, River and Independiente up next should give a better indication of where Gustavo Alfaro’s side are.

Atlético Rafaela  2 – 1  Defensa y Justicia

Tigre  2 – 0  Nueva Chicago
