Gimnasia closed their Transición with a routine victory over Colón in La Plata but may have seen the last of striker Walter Bou, who is rumoured to be closing on a return to Boca Juniors. Maxi Meza scored the opener with a wonderfully struck free kick and minutes after the break, Bou stabbed in a second. Franco Niell added a third, minutes before full time to wrap up the three points and the tournament.
In Córdoba, Belgrano’s disappointing campaign ended with victory over a Rosario Central side, who after their Copa Libertadores exit would have preferred to not have had such a swift return to Primera action. Cristian Lema scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half from the penalty spot and Central’s hopes of a comeback were all but ended when Víctor Salazar was sent off.
