There may not have been much action on the pitch in Puebla on Thursday night but while the Argentina Olympic squad were at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc facing Mexico, the team hotel was being ransacked.
After returning to the Camino Real Hotel, the squad discovered that their rooms had been broken into and clothes, money, cell phones and other items had been stolen.
It is understood that the Argentina squad had an entire floor of the hotel and AFA representative, Claudio Tapia said, “we were still at the stadium. When we arrived we found the rooms ransacked, but the players are fine.”
Tapia confirmed that they have already contacted prosecutors and has informed the hotel security staff to review the tapes and return the items immediately.
