Argentina under-20s will be hoping for a little more luck than the senior side have experienced in recent years after booking a place in the final of the L’Alcúdia International Football Tournament with a 2-1 victory over Venezuela.

Second half goals from Racing Club pair Lautaro Martínez and Brian Mansilla provided Los Pibes with the cushion that meant Herrera’s late goal for the Vinotinto was nothing more than a consolation but the victory came at a cost after both Emiliano Purita and Pedro Ojeda saw red and will miss the final.

Spain had earlier defeated Qatar in the other semi final to set up a repeat of the 2012 and 2013 finals.
