It took Lucas Pratto nine minutes of his debut on Sunday to open his account for São Paulo and on Tuesday night, the Argentina international scored two more as his new club defeated São Bento 3-2 in the Campeonato Paulista.
After falling behind early, Pratto provided the equaliser with a thumping diving header and shortly after the break climbed to head São Paulo in front.
Three super headed goals in two matches for Pratto are an early indication of the quality that the Tricolor knew they were getting when they shelled out around €12 million on the 28-year-old.
A late Christian Cueva penalty handed Rogério Ceni’s side all three points and while the new manager has plenty of work to do, the signing of Pratto couldn’t have got off to a better start.
