
Alejandro Gómez has been in superb form all season and is a key reason behind Atalanta’s success in Serie A but on Sunday afternoon, Papu marked his best ever season return with two goals in the win over Pescara, taking his tally to eleven.
The 29-year-old reached double-figures in the league after 13 minutes when a low ball into the penalty box, reached the Atalanta captain and he drilled the ball into the bottom corner.

Gómez laid on the second after half time for a sixth assist of the campaign and in stoppage time, added the third himself after being teed up by Frank Kessie.
