It’s safe to say that Hebei China Fortune have not seen anywhere near enough of Ezequiel Lavezzi since splashing the cash to bring the former Paris Saint-Germain forward to the Chinese Super League. Saturday’s victory over Carlos Tevez’s Shanghai Shenhua is hardly repayment but Lavezzi was still central to Manuel Pellegrini’s side 4-2 win.
Pocho notched two assists in the victory and ensured that Hebei China Fortune climbed to fourth in the table.
Colombian Fredy Guarín had put Shanghai ahead early but found his goal immediately cancelled out when Brazilian Aloísio nodded Hebei level.
Yin Hongbo’s fine header stuck the home side ahead before some woeful defending gifted the ball to Lavezzi and with one touch the Argentina international was able to roll the ball past the goalkeeper and into the path of Aloísio for a simple goal.
Former Racing midfielder Gio Moreno pulled a goal back for Shanghai Shenhua but a Lavezzi free kick was headed in by Gao Zhunyi to wrap up the win.
