Gonzalo Higuaín took his season tally to 27 with Saturday’s brace against Chievo and while the goals edged Juventus to another Serie A title, it was the performance of Paulo Dybala that stood out.
The 23-year-old, who missed Argentina’s recent World Cup qualifiers, was in terrific form and tormented the Chievo defence throughout as Juve moved nine points clear of second-placed Roma.
Having already gone close himself, Dybala created the opening goal in the 23rd minute, skipping away down the right before pulling the ball back for Gonzalo Higuaín to rifle the ball into the bottom corner.

A terrific nut-megged through ball into the path of Juan Cuadrado was next in Dybala’s repertoire as the youngster looked to create danger at every opportunity.

After masterminding a few more wasted chances, Dybala eventually provided the breakthrough to seal the points. Dribbling into the penalty area, La Joya rolled the ball into the path of Stephan Lichtsteiner and the Swiss international crossed for Higuaín to tap in the second.
