Sevilla put an end to their six-match winless run with a 4-2 victory over Deportivo La Coruña and the ever-improving Joaquín Correa netted his third La Liga goal of the season.
Jorge Sampaoli’s side had to respond to two Deportivo equalisers but ran out eventual winners to reaffirm their grip on a top four finish.
Gael Kakuta had twice brought the visitors level after goals from Stevan Jovetic and Pablo Sarabia before Correa added a third after 32 minutes with a smart, flicked header.
Wissam Ben Yedder wrapped up the points with two minutes remaining and the result leaves Sevilla seven points clear of fifth-placed Villarreal.
After a slow start, Correa is beginning to find his feet in Sevilla and the 22-year-old could play an important role in the future. Whether that will be under the guidance of Jorge Sampaoli remains to be seen with the manager continuously linked with the Argentina job.
