
Gerardo Martino’s Atlanta United continue to impress in their debut MLS season and on Saturday afternoon, Tata’s Argentine duo of Héctor Villalba and Yamil Asad helped pave the way for a 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake.
Villalba fired in an early opener after seeing his initial effort saved for a fourth of the season and shortly after half time, youngster Yamil Asad profited from some a poor goalkeeping clearance to slot in a simple second.
The home side did reduce the deficit but Tata’s side ensured victory in stoppage time to remain firmly in the Eastern Conference playoff places.
In Philadelphia, Ignacio Piatti scored a wonderful solo goal to kickstart a dramatic comeback from three-down for Montreal Impact.
The home side had raced into a three-goal lead before Piatti turned away from the attention of two defenders close to halfway and raced into the penalty area to pass the ball into the bottom corner.
Anthony Jackson-Hamel scored twice to level the game and earn the Impact an excellent point in the circumstance.
