Godoy Cruz have been busy on Copa Libertadores duty recently and so can be excused for the slightly lethargic clásico cuyano against San Martín on Sunday which ended goalless in Mendoza.
Neither side have been in particularly good form of late and in a match of so few clear chances, neither could claim to deserve the points.
In the Gigante de Arroyito, Rosario Central chalked up a fourth consecutive win with a 2-0 victory against Aldosivi.
After a goalless first half Germán Herrera smashed Paolo Montero’s side ahead from close range and his replacement Fabián Bordagaray wrapped up the points late on.
Aldosivi remain safe for now but are still in the relegation mix while Central have dropped only two points from their last seven games, shooting El Canalla up into tenth in the Primera.
