After the one-nil win in Avellaneda back in March, Racing did just enough to squeeze past Colombian outfit Rionegro Águilas on Thursday night after a 1-1 draw on the road.

Youngster Maxi Cuadras spectacularly punished goalkeeper Ernesto Hernández with a wonderful lob and while Diego Cocca’s side had chances to make the victory certain, Luis Hurtado’s edge of the box finish set up a nervy finish.

The away goal kept the home side at arm’s length and ultimately La Academia booked their place in the next round of the Copa Sudamericana with a 2-1 aggregate win.
