After the victories of Sarmiento and Atlético de Rafaela on Friday, Temperley needed to make sure they too picked up three points in the relegation battle and Gustavo Álvarez’s side did just that with a 2-1 win over Talleres.
Mauro Guevgeozián poked El Gasolero ahead from close range, Christian Chimino slammed home a penalty fifteen minutes from time and although Jonathan Menéndez volleyed a late goal back for the visitors it wasn’t enough.
The result lifts Temperley above Olimpo and out of the relegation zone for now but the Aurinegro host Huracán on Sunday.
