Pulga Rodríguez’s stunning hat-trick to give Atlético Tucumán victory over Tigre and Carlos Izquierdoz’s header to hand Boca Juniors a narrow win away to Argentinos Juniors had tightened things at the top but Jonathan Cristaldo’s first goal of the season fired Racing back to the summit after a 1-0 win against Lanús.

River Plate and Independiente warmed up for their huge Copa Libertadores quarter final tie this week with convincing first wins of the season. River eased past San Martín de San Juan 4-1 at the Monumental while Independiente crushed Colón 3-0 in Avellaneda.
