Messi: The Movie coming soon….(plus other news)

The next chapter in Lionel Messi’s extraordinary career is in the pipeline as it appears Hollywood has snapped up the movie rights to “Messi: The boy who became a legend“.  Epic Picture Group now own the rights and plan to release the movie around the same time as the World Cup in 2014. The movie will apparently have a ‘rocky style theme’ to it and an insider said, “the aim is to make a powerful and positive film that inspires the public to fight after their dreams that seem impossible.” The big question is who will play the main character? Hollywood’s leading men will be lining up for the role, I’m sure….
The other news is dominated by the aftermath of the superclasico. The crowd trouble that disrupted the second half is under investigation and for now parts of La Bombonera are closed while this goes on. Boca’s punishment is not known yet so we will wait to see.
Two people who are aware of their punishment are referee’s, Juan Pablo Pompei and Patricio Loustau. Pompei has apologised for his shove of Newell’s manager, Gerardo Martino but will be officiating in the Nacional B for now. He will be joined by Loustau after his dubious penalty decision gifted San Martin victory.
