Frank Kudelka’s young Talleres side have impressed since their promotion to the Primera and on Sunday evening in Mar del Plata, La T ensured that they kept that momentum going with a victory over Rosario Central.
Goalkeeper Guido Herrera was the hero with two important penalty saves and a goal himself in the shootout as Talleres triumphed 4-3 following a 1-1 draw after normal time.
Talleres showed no signs of rust and there bright side was immediately rewarded when Victorio Ramis rifled them ahead with two minutes on the clock.
Teo Gutiérrez smashed in an equaliser just before half time on the counter and with neither side able to muster a winner after 90 minutes, penalties were needed to decide a winner.
