Former Independiente captain Víctor Cuesta notched his first goal for Internacional since joining the relegated Brazilian giants as the Colorado defeated Esporte Clube Cruzeiro in the Campeonato Gaúcho.
The central defender volleyed into an almost unguarded net to open the scoring and Nico López added a second to complete a 5-1 aggregate victory and ensure progression to the semi finals.

Ramón Wanchope Ábila continued his fine form in Brazil with a well taken penalty in Cruzeiro’s 2-0 win over Esporte Clube Democrata in the Campeonato Mineiro.
The big centre forward has 21 goals for the Raposa in a little over 40 matches and this impressive return, in addition to Lucas Pratto’s inclusion in recent Argentina squads, has Wanchope dreaming of a call-up to La Albiceleste.
