There were to be no further upsets in the Copa Argentina on Wednesday evening but Primera sides Colón, Atlético de Rafaela & Sarmiento were all made to work hard for their places in the last 32.
Adrián Bastia’s first half header was just enough for Colón to sneak past Nacional B outfit Independiente Rivadavia in Quilmes.
Atlético de Rafaela should have been three up against Almagro before Gastón Campi eventually smashed in the game’s only goal on the hour mark. La Crema’s wasteful finishing could have been punished by the Nacional B side but when chances did present themselves, El Tricolor were equally profligate.
Finally in Caseros, Sarmiento needed an unfortunate Daniel Franco own goal to squeeze past Club Atlético Brown.
Colón face Huracán in the last 32; Atlético de Rafaela meet Banfield and Sarmiento go up against Sacachispas.
