They might be playing Nacional B football next season but Tigre’s astonishing form continues and with a 5-0 demolition of Atlético Tucumán in Victoria, El Matador may also end up competing in the 2020 Copa Libertadores. After a last-gasp win over Racing Club on Tuesday, Néstor Gorosito’s side swept aside Atlético Tucumán to all but seal a place in the Copa Superliga final.

Without the injured Walter Montillo, Tigre welcomed Lucas Menossi back into the starting eleven after suspension and the in-form midfielder opened the scoring after quarter of an hour, squeezing the ball under Cristian Lucchetti following a passage of wonderfully fluid passing.
