Saudi club Al Ahli confirm the capture of Chilean international Paulo Diaz from San Lorenzo.

Sunday Aug 12th

San Lorenzo finally confirm the signing of midfielder Gerónimo Poblete on an initial one-year loan deal with an option to buy. An important piece of business after the sale of Robert Piris da Motta.

Friday Aug 10th

The English transfer window shut on Thursday and after a bit of uncertainty striker Leonardo Ulloa left Leicester City for Liga MX club Pachuca.

Thursday Aug 9th

Newcastle United have made a transfer deadline day move for Argentina international Federico Fernández. Good move for the Magpies and for the player.

Despite an offer from San Lorenzo on the table, Mauro Formica has opted to return to Newell’s Old Boys.

Wednesday Aug 8th

Racing Club finally complete a deal for Chilean left-back Eugenio Mena.

MLS club Toronto FC confirm the loan signing of Tigre’s talented forward Lucas Janson. The 23-year-old was terrific prior to injury and his loan move could prove an astute signing if he rediscovers that form.

Tuesday Aug 7th

Jonathan Menéndez’s move to Qatari club Al-Rayyan from Independiente has been confirmed. A $500k loan fee with the option to sign for $3.5 million.

Friday Aug 3rd

With Esteban Andrada off to Boca Juniors, Lanús see Guillermo Sara come the other way. El Granate have a quick goalkeeping replacement.

Thursday Aug 2nd

Even more reason for San Lorenzo to complete some business in the market as Flamengo confirm the capture of Paraguayan midfielder Robert Piris Da Motta. The 24-year-old was one of the few Cuervos to impress during 2018.

Currently away with the Argentina Under-20s, Gonzalo Maroni’s loan move to Talleres has been completed. The Boca youngster was included in the deal that saw Lucas Olaza leave La T and we should now see plenty more of the midfielder in the Superliga.

Santiago Rosales has a new club after signing with Gimnasia. Never really worked out at Racing but still only 23 is a useful addition.

Wednesday Aug 1st

Lazio finally confirm the signing of Joaquin Correa from Sevilla. The 23-year-old joins for a reported 16 million.

Monday July 30th

Carlos Auzqui has been pretty dreadful at River Plate but the forward showed his quality earlier in his career with Estudiantes so he could prove a decent acquisition for Huracán.

Boca Juniors finally confirm the controversial signing of full-back Lucas Olaza from Talleres. The Uruguayan comes in to replace the injured Frank Fabra and therefore didn’t take up another foreign slot in the squad.

Patronato were in need of a goalscorer after the sale of Sebastian Ribas and they may have found one in Ezequiel Rescaldani. The 26-year-old has never really settled anywhere since looking a really bright prospect at Velez a few years back but has the qualities to lead the Patronato line.

Newell’s Old Boys have completed the triple signing of Paraguayan trio Iván Piris, Teodoro Paredes and Alfio Oviedo. Piris brings a wealth of experience to the defence as does Paredes and Oviedo is an exciting attacking prospect.

Defensa y Justicia bring back experienced former Racing and Vélez midfielder Francisco Cerro from Rayo Vallecano.

Saturday July 28th

Injuries have really stalled Lucas Albertengo’s career and having dropped down the pecking order at Independiente, the forward has signed a one-year loan deal with Estudiantes.

Huracán complete the signing of Paraguayan defender Omar Alderete from Cerro Porteño. The 21-year-old impressed on loan at Gimnasia last season.

Friday July 27th

Jonathan Silva has another new club as the youngster signs on loan with La Liga club Leganés. Once the future Argentina left-back, Silva, now 24, needs to settle and prove his worth.

Vélez have finalised a deal to bring Jonathan Ramis to the club. The Uruguayan was at Belgrano last season but didn’t make the move permanent so Gabriel Heinze’s side add the 28-year-old on a three-year deal.

Independiente close the deal for Ezequiel Cerutti – the former San Lorenzo forward joins El Rojo on a one-year loan deal with the option to buy from Al-Hilal for $4.5 million.

Thursday July 26th

Defensa y Justicia add another new face and another youngster who could benefit from a spell in Florencio Varela. Mauricio Tévez arrives from Newell’s having seen his progression slow since his goal scoring debut in La Bombonera.

Tuesday July 24th

A useful and much needed addition to Vélez Sarsfield’s midfield as Gastón Giménez comes in from Estudiantes. Gabriel Heinze still waiting for more and the club cross their fingers for Franco Soldano but it’s a start.

Monday July 23rd

River Plate finally get Marcelo Larrondo off the books even if it is only on loan. Defensa y Justicia pick up the centre forward on a year-long deal.

Friday July 20th

A position that was in desperate need of reinforcement, Lanús confirm the capture of Facundo Quignon from San Lorenzo. The 25-year-old may not set pulses racing but brings experience and is an efficient passer of the ball to help guide El Granate’s youngsters.

Thursday July 19th

Ezequiel Ponce joins Lucas Boyé at AEK. The 21-year-old striker joins on loan from Roma and despite struggling for playing time since leaving Newell’s for Europe is a real coup for the Greek club.

Udinese finally confirm the signing of forward Ignacio Pussetto from Huracán. The 22-year-old signs a five-year deal and it is believed to have cost the Serie A club around $12 million.

Wednesday July 18th

Negotiated during the deal that saw Mauricio Martínez join Racing Club – Rosario Central have confirmed the loan signing of defender Miguel Barbieri.

Former River Plate and Newell’s Old Boys forward Lucas Boyé has failed to find regular football since signing with Torino in 2016 but after a loan spell with Celta Vigo last term is now heading to Greek club, AEK. Still only 22, Boyé needs to be playing to help identify his best position.

Argentinos Juniors see another part of last season’s attack depart as out-of-contract Javier Cabrera opts to sign for Liga MX club Toluca.

Unión have signed Franco Troyansky from relegated Olimpo. The 21-year-old scored four goals last season in what was a dreadful side.

Tuesday July 17th

Once the hottest prospect in Argentina, Tomás Conechny hasn’t been able to force his way into San Lorenzo’s first team plans and now finds himself out on loan at MLS club Portland Timbers.

Things never really worked out for Joaquín Arzura at River Plate but the midfielder was considered a genuine talent when at Tigre. The 25-year-old has joined Almería on loan.

Full back José San Roman has joined Atlético Tucumán from Newell’s Old Boys.

Former Boca Juniors youngster Federico Bravo has signed for Patronato after spells with New York City FC and Greek club Panetolikos.

Ahead of their relegation battle this season, Belgrano have signed Denis Rodríguez and Adrián Balboa.

Huracán might have lost Ignacio Pussetto but El Globo have made a couple of decent signings to compensate – Lucas Gamba comes in from Unión and Juan Garro from Godoy Cruz.

Monday July 16th

Villarreal confirm the signing of Santiago Cáseres from Vélez Sarsfield after the 21-year-old completed his medical. The midfielder is understood to have signed a five-year deal for around €10 million.

Racing Club finally complete the deal to bring versatile defensive midfielder Mauricio Martinez to the club from Rosario Central.

Saturday July 14th

Damián Musto becomes the latest Argentinian to join newly promoted Huesca’s ranks. The midfielder had been linked to River Plate and Racing in recent months but now gets to test himself in La Liga.

Aldosivi complete the triple transfer of Matías Pisano, Federico Gino and Leandro Sapetti.

Friday July 13th

After a year at Independiente, Jonás Gutiérrez has returned to Defensa y Justicia for a second spell.

After rescinding his contract at River Plate, Ariel Rojas has completed his medical and signed for San Lorenzo. A useful and experienced addition for Los Cuervos.

Thursday July 12th

Never at one club for long, Santiago Silva is on the move again and after being released by Talleres, El Tanque is back at one of his many former clubs – Gimnasia. The 37-year-old striker signs a contract until 2019.

Argentinos Juniors were in need of attacking reinforcements after seeing Lucas Barrios and Nicolás González leave but Los Bichos have moved to bring in Junior Benítez on loan.

Defensa y Justicia complete another bit of business. 22-year-old midfielder Matías Rojas arrives from Cerro Porteño.

Belgrano add defender Matías Nani on loan from Roma after the 20-year-old spent last season at Temperley. Big shoes to fill at El Pirata after the sale of Cristian Lema.

With chances of first team action limited at Atletico Madrid, Axel Werner has joined Huesca on loan. Hopefully some useful experience for another possible future Argentina goalkeeper.

San Martín de Tucumán’s busy window preparing for life in the top flight continues as Nicolás Giménez comes in from Talleres. Manager Ruben Forestello knows the midfielder well from Nueva Chicago and is the latest new arrival at the club.
Lucas Diarte (Estudiantes), Marcos Figueroa (Temperley), Alberto Acosta (Almeria), Julian Vitale (Independiente), Rodrigo Moreira (Independiente), Emiliano Purita (San Lorenzo), Adrián Arregui (Temperley) and Tino Costa (San Lorenzo) all on board.

Wednesday July 11th

Udinese finally confirm the signing of goalkeeper Juan Musso from Racing Club. Rumours that the 23-year-old could go to Watford on loan for the season.

Tuesday July 10th

Boca president Daniel Angelici confirms Cristian Pavón has signed a new deal with a €50 million release clause; Lisandro Magallán’s move to Ajax is off; Nahitan Nández and Wilmar Barrios don’t look to be going anywhere and Boca are negotiating to bring Gerónimo Rulli in on loan.

VfB Stuttgart confirm their transfer of Nicolás González from Argentinos Juniors. The 20-year-old moves for around €8.5 million.

Monday July 9th

A good addition for Aldosivi as former Independiente and Huracán left-back Lucas Villalba arrives.

On the day that Sebastián Beccacece holds his first training session back at Defensa y Justicia, the club announce the signing of midfielder Lucas Villarruel from Olimpo.

Mauricio Pellegrino adds another Argentinian to Leganés as 18-year-old midfielder Facundo García comes in from relegated Olimpo.

Boca Juniors hoping to tie Cristian Pavón down to a new deal before the preseason trip to the United States that would see the Argentina forward’s release clause increased to $50 million.

Sunday July 8th

After the signing of Mauro Zárate, Boca were always going to need to sell and Walter Bou is heading out the door, on loan at least, Brazilian club Vitoria the destination.

Guido Carrillo has joined Leganés on loan for the season after his disappointing stint at Southampton.

Newell’s Old Boys have completed the signing of the wonderfully named Ze Turbo.

Boca are still hoping to add a new goalkeeper and while Nahuel Guzmán could prove too expensive, Daniel Angelici is said to be talking to Real Sociedad about the possibility of adding Gerónimo Rulli.

Former Lanús midfielder Nicolás Aguirre has cut short his time in China and signed for Spanish club Granada.

Friday July 6th

Huracán may have signed Saúl Salcedo (see below) but Hugo Nervo has left the club, signed by Liga MX side Santos Laguna after Boca’s had signed their captain Carlos Izquierdoz.

Atlético Tucumán add veteran striker Mauro Matos to the ranks.

Boca Juniors confirm the controversial signing of Mauro Zárate.

Sebastián Beccacece could be set for a return to Defensa y Justicia but meanwhile the club have confirmed the loan capture of two talented Independiente youngsters, Domingo Blanco and Gastón Togni.

Huracán finally completed the permanent signing of Paraguayan defender Saúl Salcedo. It’s understood El Globo paid around $2.8 million for the 20-year-old after his successful loan.
